Whilst researching on the Internet today. I started to rethink my previous plan. Did I really need a photoshoot to narrate my way through my report.
I began to consider different possibilities, for example the creating of a character. This could be done in one of two ways – hand sketching something, taking inspiration from other images, or having a completely fresh idea myself. This would then be scanned into Illustrator, and either using the live trace or the paint tool I could fill in areas I desired etc, creating a painted character. Alternatively I could draw the character from scratch on Illustrator using the pen tool, or even my trusty graphics tablet.
Unfortunately I do not have Illustrator or Photoshop at home with me on this computer. I will attempt to download these this very moment, because if I could use these it would make my report more exciting and definitely more creative. I also prefer this idea as it is in keeping with the theme of work I have produced prior to this, further developing my own style.
What next?
I will attempt to download these files onto my home computer. Once I have done this, I will start sketching out ideas for characters. It should be pointed out that drawing is not particularly a strong point of mine. However, I do not want this character to be photorealistic, rather I desire it to be youthful, exhibiting a fun, fresh and funky feel. This could then feature on my blog, and even the cover of my sketchbook in the form of a sticker or badge – exhibiting continuity throughout.
